FAd’H : 400 Soldiers to be Deployed The Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) will deploy 400 soldiers by mid-April to consolidate and defend positions recaptured by the Haitian National Police (PNH). Haiti and the EU Discuss Justice On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Patrick Pelissier, Minister of Justice and Public Security, received a visit from the European Union Ambassador to Haiti, Ms. Hélène Roos. For an hour and a half, they discussed the need to diversify the partnership between the European Union and Haiti in the area of justice. Minister Pelissier took the opportunity to outline the State's major priorities, including penal reform and the creation of specialized judicial centers. He also highlighted the creation of five new Courts of First Instance to make justice more accessible to those seeking it. Fuel price increase under consideration The possibility of increasing petroleum product prices on the local market is currently being studied. The Government recently met with stakeholders in the petroleum sector as well as transport unions to discuss this matter. No Issues with Recalled Ambassadors According to our information, the recall of ambassadors for consultations is not related to any disputes with the countries where the ambassadors are stationed. They were recalled to receive guidelines and instructions from the new government; this is considered standard procedure.
