The PNH Visits Recaptured Areas On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), visited several areas recaptured from terrorist gangs in the capital, accompanied by the High Command. These included the Faculty of Human Sciences (FASCH), the Institute of African Studies and Research of Haiti (IERAH), the former Superior Court of Auditors building housing the National Commission for Public Procurement (CNMP), as well as 6th, 0th, Roy, and La Fleur du Chêne Streets, and Christophe and N Avenues. These areas are now under the close surveillance of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H). Day 2 of National Strike Several labor unions, including Batay Ouvriye, CTH, CTSP, CATH, and FENASE, have called for a three-day national strike, from Monday, April 13th to Wednesday, April 15th. They are demanding a base salary of 2,500 gourdes for subcontracted workers (currently set at 600 gourdes), as well as a salary adjustment for teachers. The Higher Wage Council (CSS) has invited the unions to suspend the strike following the government's promise to act quickly on the publication of the 8th report concerning the minimum wage and to assist the CSS in preparing the 9th report by the end of the fiscal year. The Citadel : 7 People in Custody As part of the investigations into the tragedy that occurred at the Citadelle Laferrière on April 11, 2026, which resulted in the deaths of 25 people, following interviews conducted at the scene, seven people were arrested and taken into custody at the Cap-Haïtien Central Police Station pending further legal proceedings. These include five officers from the Milot Municipal Police : Jhon Coxllee alias "Myson", Genovè Octavien, Altidor Arly, Louis Max Andy, and Césaire Wilner Billy, as well as two employees of the Institute for the Protection of National Heritage (ISPAN) assigned to the North: Wilfrid César and Valmyr Techlin. Investigators also recovered six cell phones and six security badges. Minister Dumas presented the Haitian government's main priorities, with a particular focus on the prospects related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. For his part, the Spanish Ambassador outlined the various areas of intervention and projects of interest to his country that could be the subject of collaboration with the MJSAC. LHF : Matchday 2 Results Group B On Monday, April 13, 2027, Violette AC, in Group B, won 3-0 at home against FC Juventus on Matchday 2 of the playoffs.
