3 Haitians sentenced to 30 years in prison

The collegiate court of the criminal chamber of the Dajabón Court of First Instance sentenced three Haitians and a Dominican to 30 years in prison for the shooting murder of four members of the same family committed in 2023 in the community of Aminilla, in the municipality of Partido. Furthermore, two other Haitians in this case were acquitted and released.

Armored for the PNH and the FAd’H

The National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) should receive new armored vehicles in the coming days. The PNH is awaiting 22 Roshel Senator type armored vehicles provided by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the US Department of State. Also, 22 Roshel Senator armored vehicles recovered from the MMSS, 13 of which after repair are already operational on the ground, in the most sensitive areas. The FAd’H should, for their part, receive at least 10 new armored vehicles.

FIFA Safeguarding : 2 new graduates

Two representatives of the Haitian Football Federation participated in the second FIFA Summit on protection against abuse and harassment in football, which was held in Zurich (Switzerland) last March. These are Michelle Vanessa G. Jean and Dorémé Kenicks, two protection officers, who received their diplomas on this occasion after having followed a training program which had already taken them to Morocco in June 2025. These two new graduates come to strengthen the structure of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) in a crucial area put forward by FIFA: the protection of young people and vulnerable people in football.

Delmas : IOM rehabilitates public markets

In the Delmas public markets, IOM is rehabilitating infrastructure to improve conditions for traders and communities in areas affected by displacement. With the support of the United States Embassy in Port-au-Prince, these efforts aim to strengthen access to water and sanitation, develop local capacities and promote social cohesion.

INFP on tour in the Great North

As part of his first 100 days at the head of the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP), Director General Franck Lauture began a tour in the Far North of Haiti with a view to evaluating vocational training centers (buildings, equipment, staff) for better decisions regarding their operation. During this tour, he also went to Fort-Liberté to explore the feasibility of the project to establish a professional training center in the civil prison of Fort Liberté, more precisely that of Mòn Kas.
