The BRH is modernizing The Bank of the Republic of Haiti (Central Bank) is continuing to modernize the financial system through integrated infrastructure, including the Central Securities Depository and the Automated Transfer System. The former ensures the safekeeping and traceability of securities, while the latter, which is interconnected, allows for the automatic, secure, and real-time processing and settlement of transactions. These tools strengthen the reliability, transparency, and efficiency of the financial system. Melchie's 2nd Champions League Final On Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, after missing the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, Melchie Daëlle Dumornay, aka "Corventina," made a triumphant return with a stellar performance against Arsenal, securing Lyon's place in the final with a 3-1 victory over the reigning champions. In just three seasons with Lyon, Melchie will already be playing in her second Champions League final, an exceptional achievement for "Corventina". She was involved in key moments against Arsenal, winning the penalty that led to her team's first goal before providing the assist for Lyon's third. This outstanding performance earned her the Player of the Match award. This is the 4th time in 9 UEFA Women's Champions League matches this season that she has received this accolade. This achievement reflects his commitment to training the next generation through the values of discipline, respect, and excellence, offering young people in the region the opportunity to develop both as athletes and as responsible citizens. Agriculture and school canteens During a visit to the World Food Programme's (WFP) smallholder support program, the EU and Spanish Ambassadors and the Haitian National Authorizing Officer of Mission Team Europe met with local farmers who supply school canteens. They also commended the work of women from surrounding communities who prepare the food for the children's meals. Agriculture increases incomes and opens up development opportunities. The use of local supply chains for school canteens plays a crucial role in this regard. HL/ HaitiLibre
