Elections, 1st round in December

Prime Minister Fils-Aimé acknowledges that the security situation does not yet allow for the people to be convened for elections and announces that the elections scheduled for August 2026 cannot take place. However, he believes a first round of voting before the end of the year is feasible, in order to hand over power to elected officials on February 7, 2027.

Haiti at the UPU Competition

At just 16 years old, Arialidjee Lensisca Délice will represent Haiti at the Universal Postal Union (UPU) international competition, after winning the national competition organized by the Haitian Postal Service (OPH). A young Haitian voice is representing our flag among nearly 192 nations.

According to the PM, 30,000 members per political party is a positive sign

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, during a brief stop at the Vatican, Prime Minister Fils-Aimé announced that the electoral decree would be adopted by the Council of Ministers next week (this week). He considered Article 139, which requires 30,000 members for political parties, to be a positive measure. Family Month : Song by Joël Lorquet (video)

To mark International Day of Families (May 15) and as part of the activities for May, Family Month, the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) produced a song entitled Fanmi se kado bondye ban nou, composed by Claudy Brian Auguste and performed by Joël Lorquet. This song aims to raise awareness about the importance of family in building a balanced and stable society.

The Lorquet Foundation also plans to organize an official family celebration on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in the morning, at the Evangelical Baptist Church in Pétion-Ville. This event will bring together families, religious leaders, and civil society representatives to discuss the fundamental role of the family in building a better future for Haiti.
