Presentation of 308 internship letters to graduating students of the École Normale Supérieure of Haiti

Earlier this week, Vijonet Déméro, Minister of National Education, presented internship letters to the Board of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) for 308 graduating students.

During the ceremony, Déméro commended these students for their continued availability to the education system and their commitment to sharing their knowledge, skills, and professional conduct with students.

The Minister urged the interns to take their work seriously and effectively guide secondary school students. He also asked them to fully appreciate the academic, professional, and pedagogical implications of this initiative and all the responsibilities that come with it.

The Minister outlined the internship arrangements, including the rights and responsibilities of the students and the specific roles of the participating institutions (school administration, the Departmental Directorate of Education, and the Board of Directors of the École Normale Supérieure).

At the end of this three-month internship, each student will have to write a report that will be essential for obtaining their teacher training diploma.

Meanwhile, Minister Déméro announced that he has already signed more than 600 letters of appointment for teachers and principals of national schools and high schools across the 10 Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE).

He plans to regularize the status of more than 1,200 teachers shortly, and this process will continue depending on available funding.

Dieuseul Prédélus, Rector of the State University of Haiti (UEH), commended the Ministry's commitment to integrating more qualified personnel into the Haitian education system.
