The President Michel Martelly and the First Lady of Haiti, were the guests of honor to a dinner/forum organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti (AmCham), at Karibe Convention Center in Petion city, under the theme : "Improving the business climate and promote investment in Haiti." Was present to this evening, members of the government, parliamentarians, representatives of diplomatic and consular corps, delegates of international cooperation agencies, the Presidents of the Chambers of the private sector.

In a motivating speech, the President Martelly reiterated to the private sector, that 2012 should be the year of opportunity and of the ynamization of the economy, focusing on the public-private partnership, he stressed on the necessity to put Haiti 'uner construction' and the Haitian people at work "To foreign partners, to you in the diaspora who have chosen Haiti, you who, with our entrepreneurs, create jobs for workers, engineers, technicians, trust in Haiti [...] You will not regret it, the risks you take, you will get a fair return. You came here to win business and earn money. There is no shame in making money, to earn it honestly. There is no complex to capture markets, these are the companies who win contracts, that create jobs."
