Hébert Docteur, the Haitian Minister of Agriculture, at the invitation of Dr. Victor Villalobos, Director General of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture "IICA", will lead a mission in San Jose, Costa Rica and El Salvador from January 23 to 28 January, 2012 to assist among others, to the "The Forum of leaders of agriculture."

The agenda of two days in Costa Rica, includes important meetings with officials of IICA and Mrs Gloria Abraham Peralta, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, but also, visits to Earth University, where are currently 16 Haitian scholarship students, beneficiaries of a program of study in agronomy; and a visit to the National Institute of Coffee.

On the other hand, the delegation accompanying the Minister [a member of his Cabinet, the Director of Training and development of executives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR), the Deputy Director for External Cooperation, also Ministerial Delegate MARNDR/IICA, a specialist from USAID (United States Agency for International Development) in Haiti, the IICA Representative in Haiti and a specialist in projects of IICA] will travel to El Salvador, where the Minister Hébert Docteur will have the opportunity to discuss with his counterpart of cooperation between the two countries.
