Haiti - Army : Ongoing modernization of the FAd’H regulatory framework
During his weekly meeting with members of the High Command of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H), Defense Minister Mario Andrésol presided over a working session on September 9, 2026, dedicated to finalizing the draft general regulations for the FAd’H. This document aims to support the institution's evolution and to define its organization, responsibilities, and operational procedures. During the session, the general organizational chart and the institution's various structures were reviewed. Members of the High Command offered observations and proposals intended to strengthen internal organizational coherence and improve coordination among the different components of the FAd’H. For Minister Andrésol, modernizing the FAd’H cannot be limited to equipment or infrastructure; it also requires consolidating structures, updating standards, and establishing clear rules that allow every level of the institution to understand its specific role and responsibilities. The Minister emphasized the importance of continuing this work in a spirit of collaboration with the High Command to achieve a regulatory framework that is robust, coherent, and operational. Alongside the finalization of the draft general regulations, the Ministry of Defense is also nearing completion of the new doctrine for the Armed Forces of Haiti. These two complementary initiatives are part of the ongoing effort to modernize and professionalize the institution. HL/ HaitiLibre
