Haiti - Social : The Minister of Interior in a popular neighborhood

After his meeting Monday with representatives of about 70 bases in Bel-Air, Me Thierry Mayard Paul, the Minister of Interior, of Territorial Collectivities met on Tuesday, members of the Coordination of Citizens of Solino for the Development (COCISOD). The difficulties faced by people of Solino, a popular neighborhood of the metropolitan area, close to Delmas 18 and 24, were at the heart of exchanges. Members of the COCISOD have presented to the Minister, a set of projects they want to achieve in the medium term include: sanitation and electrification of the area, the construction of an educational complex, a library and a community health center. The Minister of Interior was particularly concerned about problems related to education, unemployment, health and crime among youth and is committed to quickly contact the sectoral responsible at the level of the government, in order to provided rapid responses, to the needs of the inhabitants of Solino.
