Tomorrow Saturday, February 4, 2012 will take place the official launch of the first edition of "Bréman Naval" around the theme "Kanaval se zafè pa nou", in the locality of Bréman, a zone of extension located east of the town of Jacmel. This cultural event, an initiative of Senator of outheast, Joseph Lambert, aims to create a new pole of attraction in the carnival of Jacmel and secondly to allow visitors to better know the potentiality of Bréman, a locality in process of development.

In an exclusive interview with HaitiLibre, Richard Désir, the spokesman of the Organizing Committee of the activity, indicated that more than fifteen walking bands, and five sound groups and masquerading will participate in the parade, especially the Invicibles de Jacmel, Jouvenceaux, Sonice, A la One Dezòd, with the participation of group Brothers Posse, as special guest.

The spokesperson indicated that a budget of around five million gourdes are available for the realization of this carnival festivity, stating that these funds were raised thanks to the support of different partners and friends of Senator Joseph Lambert.

Richard Désir reported that all security measures have been taken to ensure smooth implementation of this cultural event, that meetings were held with the delegation of South East, the mayor of Jacmel and the Civil Protection. He announces that government officials will be present at this activity.

At about one week of the organization of National Carnival of Jacmel, [February 12, 2012], some citizens in the city of Alcibiades Pommayrac, express their concern faced with the realization of "Bréman Naval" speaking of boycotting of Carnival of the city by organizing this parallel activity. Allegations that the Organizing Committee of "Naval Bréman" clearly denied.
