The departments of North and Northeast will undergo profound changes with the construction of the industrial park of Caracol, of the University Roi Henri and multiple housing projects distributed in the corridor Cap Haitien - Ouanaminthe. The Interministerial Committee for Regional Development (CIAT), with the support of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) accompanies the local authorities in a major study that aims to harmonize planning and development policies on this territory. In each city of the corridor the process of elaboration of a "Development Project and of Embellishment, and Extension of Town " (a local urbanism plan) is in progress.
