Starting tomorrow Sunday, March 11, 2012, 2:00 am, the time in Haiti will be advanced of 60 minutes. The Office of Communication of the Presidency informs the population that the President Michel Martelly, to take advantage of the longer duration of the day in summer, has decided, by order dated March 7, 2012, to advance the national hours of 60 minutes starting tomorrow Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2:00 am.

That is to say when the clock shows 2:00 am it will be in reality 3:00 am. The President asks everyone to adjust to this new planning, stating that this time change was made to optimize energy consumption in the country during the summer.

By that decree, it was also decided to decrease the time of 60 minutes on the first Sunday of November 2012.
