Haiti - Economy : Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid in Haiti Monday

A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid will visit Haiti from tomorrow Monday, March 12 until Thursday to deepen trade relations between Haiti and Spain.

The delegation led by Ms. Ana Martinez Paramo, Director American of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid, and David Portillo Muñoz, Responsible economic and commercial of the Spanish Embassy in Haiti will accompany representatives of 9 Spanish companies : Alatec ingenieros, consultores y arquitectos; Control Técnico y Prevención de Riesgos SA; Elsamex Internacional SRL; Eptisa servicios de ingeniería SL; Euroestudios SL; Geed Arquitectos; Hidrolution SL; Inclam Group and Wasser.

This mission follows the visit to Madrid in July 2011 of President Martelly and is also part of the program of diplomatic missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Haiti, of economic and trade relations, and in the Spanish government's policy to strengthen its business ties with Haiti.

The delegation will visit the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Planning and of the External Cooperation, and the Directorates General like the Directorate General of Water Supply and sanitation (DINEPA) and hold talks with officials of these various institutions.

Moreover, the Spanish business delegation will meet representatives of international organizations in Haiti including : World Bank (WB), the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) and the Delegation of the European Union (DUE).
