In a press note, the Consulate General of Haiti in Chicago informs all those interested by the issue, that the Direct Initiatives to Support Haïti (DISH) is a charitable organization, non-governmental, nonprofit, apolitical, created after January 12, 2010, with the aim of raising funds to be actively involved in the reconstruction of the country.

The Delegation of the DISH, during its first mission to Haiti, from January 12 to 15, 2012, has benefited from the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of Ministry of Public Health and members of the Committee of Liaison that it has created and left in place.

The members of the DISH are Haitiano-American and American professionals, doctors for the most, having in common their love for the Haitian people, eager to invest fully in the complete success of many projects that they propose to run in Haiti, in the areas of health, education and housing, see, also to use for this purpose, their personal financial means.

The Consulate General of Haiti in Chicago, who decided to accompany the DISH in its initiatives, encourages the governments, institutions of private sector and NGOs to give it their full support in the realization of its social work for the benefit of the Haitian people and for the reconstruction of the country.
