The Consul General of Haiti in Miami, Francois Guillaume II, expresses his sincere thanks to all the sectors that have ensured the success of the largest arts and crafts fair of Haitian women, organized by "Women in Democracy" in collaboration with the Haitian-American chamber of Commerce of Florida, held this year on 5 and 6 May, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

60 exhibitors, whose 40 were from Haiti and 20 from the diaspora, have offered the public the diversity of creation of the Haitian woman. One point on which the First Lady of the Republic, Sophia Martelly, stressed during his speech.

The Consul General thanked especially the First Lady and the Mayor of Miami Beach, Ms. Matti Herrera Bower, for their unconditional support to this important activity, which has managed to highlight the enormous potential of Haitian women. The Consul insisted that, according to an economic study investing in women's entrepreneurship is sustainable and equitable.

According to him, the woman must be placed at the heart of investment to promote a sustainable and balanced development.

The Consul who expresses his gratitude to the organizers of this great event and to the dignitaries who took part, expressed the hope that this activity will be perpetuated for the benefit of Haitian culture.
