Haiti - Social : Message of sympathy from the Consulate of Orlando

"The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando is deeply saddened by the terrible tragedy that occurred on Sunday June 10, 2012 in the large of the Bahamas waters where a small boat transporting ahout 30 Haitian Citizens sinked killing 11 while many are still unaccounted for, among them children.

The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando presents its sympathy to the parents and friends of the victims and takes this opportunity to express its gratitude to the US Coast Guards of which the courage and determination have allowed the rescue of 7 of these unfortunate travelers.

The Consulate of Haiti in Orlando reiterates its commitment to work tirelessly, and invites all active force of the Nation to join in doing the same, to boost a fast economic recovery in Haiti that will prevent people desperate for better life opportunities to risk their lives in dangerous seas in the future."
