As part of program "Haiti Health" (Haïti Santé), the digital centers of distance learning of the Justinian University Hospital and the National School of Nursing in Port-au-Prince (ENIP) of the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH) have been recently inaugurated.

The project "Health Haiti" is a project of digital distance education, in favor of the medical training, carried by the Public Interest Group (GIP) of the Francophone Digital University of Health Sciences and Sport (UNF3S), under the supervision of Professor Jean-Paul Francke of program "Haiti Health". Project for which an aid of 550,000 euros has been provided by the Interministerial Mission for the reconstruction of Haiti (MIRH). The partners in this program are: the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), CHU Amiens, Picardie University, the University Agency of Francophone (AUF) and the UNFS3.

The project "Haiti Health" concerns the four Haitian medical schools : State University of Haiti (UEH), University of Notre Dame d'Haiti (UNDH), University Quisqueya (UNIQ), University Lumière, and Justinian Hospital in Cap Haitien and has five priority areas of cooperation :

• The first two axes concern the creation and the equipment of five digital spaces within the UEH, the UNIQ, the UNDH, Lumière and Justinian Hospital.

• The digital space of Quisqueya University has been operational since March 2011. Those of the Justinian Hospital and of the ENIP just been inaugurated. Centers of the UNDH and of Lumière should be completed respectively in August and in September 2012.

• The third axis covers the training of trainers in the use and production of digital content. Three missions have been organized so far in this perspective.

• The fourth axis is to develop an online web portal of the digital offer for teachers and students.

• The 5th axis is relatively "disconnected" of the project of digital teaching, as it provides the the establishment of teaching missions conventional in the faculties to tackle the weaknesses of Haitian higher education system in the medical field. These missions are planned and some have already been conducted this year.
