Vanneur Pierre, the Director General of the Ministry of Education disclosed the results of the examinations at the level national, organized on 3 and 4 July 2012 for the 6th fundamental year and 10 to 13 July for the 9th fundamental year.

"...for the 6th year, all the results by department are ready, the Department of the West is in first place with 78.454 admitted (77%) on 102.404 candidates. The Artibonite is second with 25.543 admitted (75%) on 33.850 candidates [...] in third place the Northwest and the Grand Anse, with 72% success... The South came last with 12.115 admitted (64%) on 18.943 candidates. At the level national the success rate exceeds 72%.

[...] at the Ministry level we are not 100% satisfied, the process works well, but these results show that there is much work to do at the level of the 6th year and we will continue to make efforts, because normally, the success rate at the level of the 6th year should approach 100% [...]

For the 9th fundamental year, it's almost the same trend, for the Department of the West, we are not ready yet, but by the end of the week or early next week, we will publish the results [...] yet, the Centre is in first place with 5.777 admitted (87%) on 6.109 candidates. The North is second with 10.558 admitted (69%) on 15.329 candidates and Grande-Anse came last, with 2.563 admitted (52%) on 4.944 candidates [...] this is a department that has a lot problem, children have difficulty in certain matters, we will analyze what are the causes that made the children have not had the desired results,and in what matters they are weaker, and we will target actions, to enable us to strengthen academic performance and improve the quality of education in the department so that we arrive at the rate we want [...]
