Following a request made ​​by the Government of Haiti, the White Helmets Commission of Argentina's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), have established a "Project of control of food quality of the National Programme of School Canteens (PNCS)" in Haiti.

Began on 15 August, the first stage of this project, which will end on August 26th, is to conduct an assessment and a diagnosis of the system of control of food quality at the PNCS, in the town of Port-au Prince. To this end, 3 White Helmets volunteers are currently at work in the capital.

The second phase of the project, includes the displacement, for a period of 90 days, of a team of 6 White Helmets volunteers, in Port-au-Prince and other cities where is developing the PNCS. The objectives of this phase are to provide support to the Haitian administration in the diagnosis related to quality control ; provide support to the development of modules and training sessions for farmers and agricultural technicians ; contribute to the preparation of laboratory samples for analyzing and guide the operators on the type of analysis to perform and to assist to the structuration of a system of monitoring and evaluation.
