The launch of the month of the language and of the culture Creole was held last week in the premises of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics. On this occasion, the Committee for the establishment of the Academy of Haitian Creole has released the text of the draft law on the organization and functioning of the Academy.

According to Professor Fritz Deshommes, the Vice-President Research, the objective is to obtain that the Senate can vote this bill before the International Day of the language and culture Creole on October 28.

Have also spoke on the occasion of this launch : Professor Rogeda Dorcil, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics ; Sony Esteus, Director of the Sosyete Animasyon ak Kominikasyon Sosyal (SAKS) ; Gregory Calixte, Director of the Development Linguistics at the Secretariat of State for Literacy and Professor Claude Pierre, member of the Committee.
