The Haitian Centre of Investigation and Advanced Treatment of Infertility (CHITAI) announces the birth, 8 and 12 October 2012, in Port-au-Prince, of the first babies of its program of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Both mothers and their children are doing well.

According to the responsibles of CHITAI "This program allows us to catch up the huge delays in the field of reproductive health and particularly in the treatment of infertility. The event of 8 October 2012 (birth of Roumy), which testifies of a great advance in medical practice in Haiti, should be considered as a great victory for the medical community and the entire country," and gives back hope to thousands of Haitian couples with infertility problems.

Initiative of a group of Haitian doctors, specialists in infertility, CHITAI in partnership with "Duke University" offers an alternative to the thousands of men and women who will no longer have to leave the country for treatment in a foreign land. Since already one year, CHITAI offer to the population, a wide range of modern services for the treatment of infertility.

The medium-term objective of CHITAI is to become the best treatment center Infertility throughout the Caribbean.
