Wednesday, Guirlaine Charité Raymond, Director General of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), has proceeded with the installation of Dr. Maurice Mainville to the position of Executive Director of the Hospital of the State University of Haiti (HUEH).

The installation ceremony took place in the presence of several officials of the Ministry, including Dr. Djmmy Beaubrun, Director of Human Resources of MSPP, of Medical Director of the hospital ands of Dr. Pierre Pierre, who assumed, in addition to his duties, that of Executive Director...

The new Director has promised to restructure the largest hospital center of the country so that it can guarantee the health of the Haitian people in general and especially the neediest strata "I accept this task in order to render to the Community what it has graciously gave me, bring my participation in the construction of this new HUEH so dear to us all."

Dr. Guirlaine Raymond Charité, in her speech declared "[...] I am aware [...] that the General Hospital is now in the inability to properly serve the mass population constantly growing, and we need to do something [... ] the Director of Human Resources recalled the death of the Emperor, I take this opportunity to return to the general hospital and to tell you that the general hospital, will have for its part, revive..."
