Thursday, at a party organized for the employees of the National Council of Telecommunications (CONATEL), Jean Marie Guillaume, Director General of the institution, has announced two major projects for the year 2013.

The first concerns the creation of a "Social Fund", a trickle of assistance, in which the employees who are most financially vulnerable, will have a deep sense of belonging to CONATEL and will work better.

The second project concerns the portability of phone number which, according to Jean Marie Guillaume, will provide some answers to clients in the telecommunications sector. Now, with the number portability, a customer will no longer need to change his number, when it will change of operator. In addition, "make the numbers transferable from one operator to another, is to facilitate the access of a third operator in the Haitian market."

In addition, Mr. Guillaume presented a check for 2,000 dollars, to each of the 26 employees of who CONATEL struggling to recover financially from the January 2010 earthquake "This will allow them to make minor repairs in their homes cracked or initiate small construction work in order to live healthier, with more dignity." Central office staff and of decentralized offices, have applauded the measures of their Director.

In this work environment, revolving around productivity and incitement to success and individual well-being, the employees of CONATEL feel and say they are "lucky and motivated" despite the gloomy socio-economic that knows the country.

Mr. Guillaume exhorted his employees to work more and more for their own benefit and the benefit of CONATEL. He praised the employees of the section "Recovery" who did an excellent job and allowing the CONATEL to recover a certain number of debts.
