Two months after his first visit in the lakous, on the occasion of the traditional festival of Guédés, the Minister Mario Dupuy returned to Gonaives, this time to celebrate the Kings in the "Lakou Soukri".

Received as usual and according to the ritual by the Empress Shella Tanisma and servant Marie Carme Delva, the Minister Dupuy wanted to mark of his presence, the feast of the Three Kings "My presence among you is a testimony of the commitment of the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe and the Government as a whole, to demonstrate the importance of voodoo in Haitian culture."

Recalling that lakous are custodians of Haitian culture and it is the duty of the State to accompany them, the Minister emphasized on the willingness of the Government to repair the social injustice suffered by the inhabitants of lakous. For proof, Jean Mario Dupuy cited rehabilitation work, which has already begun in the Lakou Souvenance with the installation of several sanitary and the imminent arrival, of the caravan consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the National Archives, the ONI, to bring the inhabitants of lakous, authentic identity documents.
