The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, left the country on Wednesday to take part on 25 and 26 January, in the 43rd World Economic Forum of Davos (Switzerland). This Forum 2013 brought together more than 2,500 participants and 50 Heads of State.

The Prime Minister has been invited to speak at a conference entitled "Building Resilient Economies" and will attend an additional session of the World Economic Forum titled "A New Vision for Agriculture: Accelerating its impact", dedicated to safety food.

During his two-day visit, the Prime Minister will also meet with leaders of major companies such as : Coca-Cola, Western Union, Petrobras, SalesForce, Marriot Hôtels and Heineken, to discuss investment opportunities in Haiti.

The Head of Government, should also lead a special session on Haiti sponsored by the organizers of the World Economic Forum, designed to show senior executives of private companies that "Haiti is open for business." This session will allow the Haitian government to explain the steps that have been taken to encourage investment and show some success, to encourage business leaders to invest in Haiti.
