Haiti - Justice : A police inspector jailed at the National Penitentiary

Sought and suspected, in the framework of an investigation into his involvement armed robbery, illegal possession of firearms and criminal association in two gangs specialize specialized in robbery of bank customers and passengers at the international airport, the police inspector, Thomas Luther Théodore, under warrant, was arrested last week by officers of the Brigade of Research and Intervention (BRI), on the orders of investigating judge Me Sonel Jean-François efore which he was presented.

Me Sonel Jean-François, issued a detention order, due to sufficient evidence in the investigation file, to proceed with the indictment of the police inspector, who was handcuffed and led immediately to the National Penitentiary, by agents of the BRI.

According to our sources, a dozen people have been detained in connection with this investigation.
