After an international roaming, the collective exhibition « Haïti Royaume de ce monde » (Haiti Kingdom of this World), which brings together some of the biggest names in Haitian Contemporary Art [Sergine André, Melodie Barthélémy, Mario Benjamin, jean Hérard céleur, Maksaens Denis, Édouard Duval-Carrié, André eugène, Frankétienne, Guyod, Sébastien jean, Killy, Tessa Mars, Pascale Monnin, Barbara Prézeau Stephenson, Michelange Quay and Roberto Stephenson], is arrived in Haiti for the last stop. The works will be exhibited in the warehouse of the 19th century, recently restored, of the Halle Vital, Jacmel, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from March 9 to April 13, between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm, and weekdays on appointment. After the last public presentation, the works will be dispersed to return to their authors and owners.

Co-produced by the Endowment Fund Agnès B. and the French Institute, "Haïti Royaume de ce monde" has been first exposed in April and May 2011, to the space Agnès B. in Paris. It was then presented to the ummer of 2011 in the programming of the 54 'Biennale of Contemporary Art in Venice, where for the first time, the Republic of Haiti presented a national art booth, and then to the United States to "Haïtian Cultural Art Alliance" of Miami, through the international fair "Global Caribbean / Art Basel Miami Beach» 2012. In autumn 2012, the exhibition continued its tour until the the Caribbean archipelago to the Centre Culturel de Rencontre Fonds Saint-Jacques, Sainte-Marie, Martinique.

The exhibition "Haïti Royaume de ce Monde" was born from the need to make an inventory of contemporary creativity in Haiti, to make visible the work of artists who, everyday, questioning chaos. They are artists, photographers, sculptors, painters, performers, videographers. It mainly presents recent works and unpublishedn orders made to artists specifically for the exhibition, thus demonstrating their creative vitality.

This exhibition is supported by the Embassy of France and the Institute Fançais in Haiti, FOKAL (Fondasyon Konesans ak Libète), City of Paris (in the framework of the Convention French Institute / City of Paris), the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), the Cultural Service of the Embassy of Haiti in France, the European Development Fund (ARCADE) and the Cultural Service of the Embassy of the United States in Paris.
