On Friday, the President Michel Martelly, on an official visit in Guyana [Cooperative Republic of Guyana, formerly British Guiana], was received by his counterpart Donald Ramotar. With the President of Guyana, the Head of State discussed in an atmosphere of conviviality, among others, of strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in agriculture, eco-tourism, commerce, education and food security.

This meeting allowed the two Heads of State a better understanding of the realities of their respective countries. The President Martelly took advantage of his exchanges with the President Ramotar to extol the business opportunities existing in Haiti.

The meeting ended the visit of President Martelly in Guyana, before leaving for Suriname, the last destination of his official tour.
