Wednesday, April 3, on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the murder of journalist activist Jean Léopold Dominique and the security guard station, Jean Claude Louissaint killed in the courtyard of the station Radio Haiti Inter, the Ministry of Communication, salute the man and the Haitian political commentator that was Jean Dominique, which in its various interventions, has always fought corruption, the negligence towards the peasants and injustices against the people.

The Haitian Government, in the respect of the independence of the three powers, will ensure that the ongoing investigation ends with the identification of all material and intellectual authors of this crime for the triumph of the rule of law and the good health of Haitian democracy and renews its commitment and determination to accompany the Haitian Press, within the framework of the professionalization of the profession, which is vital for the establishment of the rule of law in Haiti, according to the wishes of President Martelly.

Furthermore, the Platform of Haitian Human Rights Organizations (POHDH) renews this day of remembrance, its determination to demand justice for Jean Dominique and Jean-Claude Louissaint. POHDH encourage Haitians to demand clear explanations on the progress of the investigation.

In Petit-Goâve that same day, the Press Club of Petit-Goâve (Cercle des Journalistes - CJP), led by the journalist Me Emmanuel Louiceus adopted a statement so that "never again there is another 3 April 2000" ; so that there is never more "the investigation continues" ; never again "murder of another Haitian journalist for whatever reason" and that never again "an individual or sector use the cause of journalists victims to resolve or defend the interests of its clan". The CJP reminds judicial authorities of the country in his statement that "that the best way to deter criminals, killers is to apply the law strictly against the murderers of journalists "and asks the corporation journalists in Haiti, "to make a chain of solidarity to defend the rights of all their colleagues without distinction."
