Wednesday, Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, traveled to Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago), to attend the 32th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

This meeting is part of a preparatory meeting for the 34th Ordinary Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government, which will be held from 4 to 6 July 2013. This meeting presents several challenges for Haiti [which holds the rotating presidency of the CARICOM] and which still have a lot of difficulties to fully integrate and participate fully in all activities of the Caribbean Community. In this regard, Haiti intends to propose at the meeting, the development and adoption of viable mechanisms to strengthen the capacity of regional and national institutions.
