In the early afternoon, a fire broke out in a former building of the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) and threatened the market of Croix-des-Bosales, in Port-au-Prince.

Firefighters went on site to contain the fire, which reached a market of wood and other wooden materials, according to information provided by the authorities.

By mid afternoon the DPC informed that at least ten people with respiratory complications, were evacuated to two hospitals.

According to latest reports 31 people were taken to three hospitals for burns and respiratory complications.

The DPC informs that firefighters and police officers were able to contain the fire.
