As a prelude to the next laying of the foundation stone for the reconstruction of North Wharf of Public Facilities of International Port of Port-au-Prince, the Directorate General of the National Port Authority (APN) undertook an activity relatively "minor" but very important : the reshaping of 28,500 m2 of the port area, including roads ranging from post #1 to post #6, as well as the section starting from the hangar #1 to reach the shore (western terminus). This work included the blading, laying and compaction of materials from 0-31,5 (up to 95% of the maximum proctor) on the whole surface concerned, followed by impregnation with cut-back.

To date, this work are 90% complete and already, the dust that bothered considerably eased, so that the port users feel more comfortable in their activities.
