The Directorate General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) informs its customers in particular and the general population of the installation of a lightning arrester system at the substation of Canapé Vert to protect it against all possible atmospheric discharges (lightning), which may occur during the hurricane season (June to September). Because of this installation, several areas will be without electricity this Sunday, June 2 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. These are the areas of : Road of Frères, Downtown of Pétion-Ville, Road of Kenscoff, Peguy-Ville, Belvil, Canapé-Vert, Bois Patate, Christ-Roi, Montagne Noire, Marlique, Ibo Lélé, Morne Calvaire, Jalousie, Bouc Champagne, Nérette, Desermithe and Musseau.

The EDH, relies on the patience and understanding of the population and reiterates its commitment to work for better access to electricity, while promising to keep it informed.
