Haiti - Sports : Football Training for 150 boys and girls aged 8 to 14 years

On 18 and July 19 J/P Haitian Relief Organisation (J/P HRO) of the American actor Sean Penn, joins the Foundation Give-A-Ball, based in New York, to facilitate a series of football training in the field of SunAuto in Tabarre [near Port-au-Prince]. This event will provide to 150 girls and boys aged 8 to 14 years, the opportunity to play team sports, while strengthening and improving their athletic skills.

"J/P HRO recognizes the immense value that sport brings to every child and every community," said Kamilah Morain, Community Projects Manager at J/P HRO "Sport is a great way to improve relations in the community while allowing children to reach their full potential."

"Allowing children to play football, we also are promoting fundamental values ​​such as health, education and teamwork," said Dominique Pierre-Louis, Haitian liaison of Give-A-Ball Foundation.

Pierre-Louis will be accompanied by three members of the Give-A-ball Foundation team, including Tosin Fawibe, founder and CEO of Give-A-Ball Foundation which is pleased and honored to partner with J/P HRO to provide football programs to the children of Haiti," declared Tosin Fawibe.

The team of the Give-A-Ball Foundation come from New York to Port-au-Prince to coordinate and direct the football training, which will consist of tournaments every day, on 18 and 19 July 2013. Give-A-Ball will donate football balls o each participant and other sports equipment, to the ommunity Development Programme of J/P HRO, for the organization of football events in the community for the long term.

"Football is a source of great joy for thousands of children in Haiti," declared Kamilah Morain that stated that J/P HRO hopes to planning several of these events to extend their reach and impact in the community "This will be the event of the summer, the neighborhood kids will not forget soon !"
