Haiti - Environment : New day of environmental citizenship

Saturday, August 10, 2013, as part of the national campaign of environmental citizenship, launched on 22 June, the Ministry of Environment in coordination with the Metropolitan Service of Collection of Solid Waste (SMCRS) organized another day of cleaning.

Starting from the street Mgr Guilloux, hundreds of residents assisted by a few employees of the Ministry of Environment and SMCRS assured the cleaning of neighborhoods of Bel Air, of the street Saint Martin to lead to Delmas 18. This activity that aimed to encourage people to keep their neighborhoods clean and contribute to project a positive image of Haiti.

Ms. Yolette Nicole Altidor, Director General of the Ministry and Donald Parison, Director General of SMCRS said they were very satisfied with this day and announced that they will take all necessary steps to to carry out this campaign, inviting the population to respect and protect their environment.
