Haiti - Politic : 11th Council of Ministers of Petrocaribe

Haiti, member of the Petrocaribe alliance since 2006, will host the 11th Council of Ministers of Petrocaribe on 6 and 7 September in Petion-ville, 21 countries in the region are expected at the event.

Recall that at the 10th Council of Ministers of Petrocaribe in Managua, Nicaragua, five groups were formed. These ad hoc Working Groups, will deepen during the 11th Council of Ministers, the strategies of Development Studies of the Petrocaribe economic zone.

Five themes have been identified :

- Transport and communication;

- Free production

- Tourism

- Trade and Integration

- and Culture

The Economic Zone Petrocaribe is an economic space for the development of productive sectors of member countries through the establishment of production chains and fair trade. Member countries will take advantage of comparative advantages in the development of the regional integration, as well as the strengths of the productive capacity of the region.
