Haiti - Culture : Two centuries of solidarity between Haiti and Venezuela...

Saturday on the sidelines of the Council of Ministers of the member countries of Petrocaribe, six painters of "Kalfou Richès Peyi dAyiti", Islande Henry, Dominique Joseph, Walgens Pierre Jean, Vladimir Pascal, Papouche Romulus and Widmayer St Paul created at the Royal Oasis, a beautiful fresco depicting the genesis of two centuries of solidarity between Haiti and Venezuela.

These artists believe that friendship and solidarity, perpetuated between Haiti and Venezuela for two centuries remind us the fraternal relations between Haiti and Venezuela since the actions of Francisco Miranda, Alexandre Petion and Simon Bolivar. A legacy that has been taken over and maintained by the Commander Hugo Chavez in creating an innovative geopolitical space. If indeed, Bolivar had kept his promise to Pétion by abolishing slavery wherever its armies were victorious, his dream bicentenary of a Latin America free of any colonial or neo-colonial interference, was not yet a reality.

The Bolivarian revolution, initiated by the Commander Chavez and continued by President Maduro has defined new relationships based on solidarity, mutual support and love and finally put that dream within reach. The idea of creating an Economic Zone Petrocaribe announces the end soon of the nightmare for all the oppressed people of the region and the advent of a new era, not only in Latin America but where humanity will regain its human dimension renouncing to the madness of endless enrichment at all costs.

This fresco was offered to Rafael Ramirez, President of the Council of Ministers Petrocaribe, at the end of the event.
