Wednesday, the 2nd Edition of Haiti Fashion Week 2013 was launched at Tara's on theme "Mod'ifions notre environnement" with a Gala evening "Extavaganza" featuring: designers, models, stylists, makeup artists and hairdressers. The aim of this second edition is to present the talents of the Haitian fashion but also provide a platform for professional meetings and business opportunities.

It's Thursday evening at the Karibe Convention Center, that really started the Fashion Week with the "Sun & Beach" collection : Jacqueline Francis, David André, Daphnée Floréal, Jean Yves Marchand, Nora David, Gaelle Nerette, Daphnée Stephenson, Mélissa Etienne, Cora Sajous, Farah Pierre-Louis eand t Tamara Depestre.

The showroom exhibition in the Ginger Room, open daily from 10am to 6pm, allows to acquire the creations of the local fashion.

The 2nd professional forum, open to people in the business and students on the theme "Communication & fashion / textile and Merchandizing & Branding" began on September 20.

Friday evening was presented the "Casual & Cocktail" collections of 13 Haitian designers.

Saturday, for the end of this 2nd Edition of Haiti Fashion Week 2013, the models will bear the Collections "Evening wear" of 12 Haitian and foreign designers (Trinidad, France, St. Lucia, the United States and Canada). The last evening will conclude with an "after party" hosted by Luck Mervil in the gardens of Karibe.

This year the entry price is set to 1,100 gourdes for the fashion shows and that of the "after party" to 880 gourdes.
