Thursday, Josette Darguste, the Minister of Culture, in the presence among others of : Frantz Carly Jean Michel, Director General of the National Directorate of Books (DNL), Chantal Moreno, Head of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) for Haiti, Dunel Jehoshaphat, Mayor of the city and many young inaugurated the new premises of the Center for Reading and Cultural Activities (CLAC) of Dessalines, which was closed for about a year for rehabilitation.

Darguste Minister in her speech asked dessaliniens to appropriate this structure in order to enjoy the various services offered. She sought the help of parents to bring children at CLAC, that she also encouraged to read daily to strengthen their knowledge.

A reading animation with youth followed the ceremony of commissioning of CLAC of Dessalines, who is one of four centers, that have just been rehabilitated by the DNL, the OIF and the Fondation de France.
