Haiti - Culture : Darline Desca, will represent Haiti in the 1st International Song Contest

Monday evening was launched the 1st International Song Contest of All for one Caribbean at the Atrium of Fort de France (Martinique). Like the famous Eurovision Song Contest (Europe), the the Caribbean will put in competition talents to elect the one who will be the holder for one year, of trophy "Jeff Joseph Trophy". This trophy will be re-awarded each year anw will symbolize the musical and cultural link with our Caribbean neighbors.

For this first edition, 9 countries are in competition: Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, St. Martin, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Martinique.

Following the selection of a committee put in place by Ayiti Mizik, composed of Fabrice Rouzier, Harry Luc, Marie-Laurence J. Lassègue and Joel Widmaier, it's the singer Darlene Desca, who will defend the colors of Haiti with two extractsof his new album "A plein temps".

On the sidelines of the cultural nature of this event each island will take advantage of this opportunity to make discover its destination through mini stories that teams from Martinique have filmed on site and it's the Fondation Haïti Jazz that welcomed these teams in Haiti and has supported the transport of Darline Desca in Martinique "I am very proud to be part of this project, this is a unique opportunity that allows me to measure myself and share with my peers in the Caribbean, but also a unique platform for promotion," declared Darline.

The competition will be broadcast on "Martinique 1ère" Friday, October 25 and should be be retransmitted to Haiti in the days following.
