As part of the call for proposals, of the partnershi World innovation summit for education, WISE-FOKAL, launched last July, 10 educational projects were selected to receive financial support during the academic year 2013 - 2014.

This call for proposals contained specific criteria to be met, such as the degree of innovation, quality of education, sustainability, value and vision, the relevance of the budget, the clarity of the proposal as well as the partnership and participation of stakeholders.

After deliberation, the jury proposed to support for the second and last time, 6 projects selected in 2012 in order to to help them complete the cycle of their initiatives and disseminate their innovations in other schools. Four new projects have also been selected in 4 themes :

Projects supported in 2012 for the second year :

Theme - Access to education for disadvantaged children: Kay Ste Germaine ;

Theme - System integration of agriculture, nutrition, environment and education : Learning Centre Matènwa of the île de la Gonave ; The Green Schools Network, hosted by the Association of originating of Gros Morne.

Theme - Training and support for teacher : The organization "Ansanm pou yon demen miyò an Ayiti" (ADEMA) in northwest ; College of Côte Plage and the network of schools of information technology, communications and energy program (REPTICE) in rural areas.

Theme - Interface between education and culture : École supérieure d’infotronique d’Haïti (ESIH)

New Projects 2013-2014 :

Theme - Access to education for disadvantaged children : Société haïtienne d’aide aux aveugles (SHAA) - Centre d’aide psychologique of the Haitian bishops' conference ;

Theme - Training and support for teachers : École fondamentale d'application et centre d'appui pédagogique (EFACAP) of Jacmel

Theme - Interface between education and culture : Cine Institute of Jacmel.

The working group World Innovative Summit for Education (WISE), in Haiti (Haiti Wise Task Force) was established after the 2010 earthquake by the Qatar Foundation. A partnership has been developed following the WISE 2010 summit with FOKAL. The objective of this collaboration is to support innovative educational initiatives in Haiti who are successful in the field, promote their development, reproduction, taking into account public policy.
