The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, left the country Monday, November 18, in the direction of California, for a 4-days tour, focused on the use of technology and the benefits to be derived for the Haitian people.

Laurent Lamothe, accompanied, among others, by merican actor Sean Penn, Goodwill Ambassador to Haiti, will act as keynote speaker at the annual conference of Salesforce, whose the technology has allowed the government to monitor, evaluate and improve social programs, eliminating fraud and corruption, while making them more effective.

"Technology is an important tool for economic development and competitiveness. Facilitate wide access to technology for youth, government officials and the private business sector, can make a big difference in the efforts to achieve higher economic growth and the fight against extreme poverty," declared the Prime Minister.

During his tour, the Head of Government should visit the headquarters of Google, Facebook and Apple, on the one hand, discuss the mechanisms to used to facilitate access to the technology to a large number of his countrymen, and secondly, explore the training program "Apple" for teachers.
