Haiti - Religion : Reconstruction of infrastructures of the Catholic Church in Haiti

During the Plenary Assembly of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), which was held in Baltimore, Mgr. Dennis Schnurr, of the Diocese of Cincinnati and president of the Committee for the collection of aid at a national level announced the launch of the reconstruction of infrastructure of the Catholic Church in Haiti, destroyed or severely damaged during the 2010 earthquake "The Church in Haiti and the other sister Churches, united in the association PROCHE, have completed the planning work, while the execution phase of the reconstruction program of the Church has begun in a safe and transparent manner," said Archbishop Schnurr. The cost of rebuilding Catholic buildings in Haiti is estimated at over 150 million U.S. dollars. HL/ HaitiLibre
