Haiti - Security : Community police of the PNH dialogue with youth
This Friday will be held a chat between community policing officers of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and students of the School of the Institution Classique de l'Humanisme located in Delmas 41 #13.
This activity falls within the framework of an initiative of the police authorities to present community police unit of the PNH, to citizens in general and youth in particular, and explain the purpose and benefits of such a unit for communities. It will also be an opportunity for these community police officers, to listen to and consider the concerns and suggestions of the young.
Recall that in order to increase the confidence of community members in the actions of the PNH, the Haitian authorities, in collaboration with the Police Department of the City of New York (NYPD), have developed a community police unit.
38 officers are assigned to it and their main task is to get closer to the population, in order to provide better support and building trust in order to increase and improve the actions of the police.
