Haiti - Tourism : Monitoring of development works of Bassin Bleu

As part of the project of development of site Bassin Bleu of Jacmel, Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, the Departmental Director of Tourism South East, met the Agronomist Dieudonné Vea, of Welthungerhilfe" (German Ministry of Environment and Agro Action), in order to take stock on the progress of the project.

It was particularly discussed of signage that will be installed tomorrow, Friday. Of some 3,000 fruit trees and endemic species, that were planted last April with the support of forest officers of the Ministry of Environment and of training sessions on biodiversity, agro-forestry, environment, management of the farm that were conducted prior to the project. As for the rehabilitation work of the road by the Public Works, they continue normally, according to the schedule.

Discussions also focused on the preparations for the Brinell Festival, to be held in Bassin Bleu, from 16 to 18 May 2014 which included in its programs: guided tours, football championship, folk dance, musical entertainment and more.
