Haiti - Tourism : Hotel Indigo Royal Decameron Beach Resort, will open in 2 months

Monday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), went to the Côte des Arcadins, at Club Indigo at the head of a large delegation composed amon other of Leonardo Gonzalez, President of the Decameron Hotels Group, the Secretary of State for Tax Reform, Ronald Décembre, the Director General of Customs of Haiti, Victor H. St. Louis and members of the hotel chain to visit the work of the first all inclusive Haitian result of an agreement concluded between the Decameron hotel group and the owners of Club Indigo.

The visit took place as part of Club Indigo expansion project from a partnership with the Royal Decameron (8 million dollar investment) and aimed to observe the progress of the renovation work of the next all-inclusive of Decameron Hotels, which is scheduled to open on 1 November 2015.

500 workers and 5 Haitian subcontractors are working on the site day and night to meet this deadline.

"The presence of government officials to visit the development work of the all-inclusive Decameron in Haiti reflects the full support of the Haitian State to this project which aims to be renovator in the tourism sector especially in the hotel sector," stressed Minister Villedrouin.

Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort and Spa, will add 400 European standard rooms to the Haitian hotel park. This major tourist resort on the beach, will also include 3 restaurants and 2 outdoor pools, in which more than 800 guests can be served daily. It will include in addition 2 full gym, a spa, marina and water attractions.

All suppliers who will supply the Hotel Royal Decameron Indigo Beach Resort and Spa will emerge from Haitian businesses what will create nearly 500 jobs in addition to 420 new local jobs constituting the hotel staff.
