After the victory of the Grenadiers, on Friday, March 24 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-20460-haiti-gold-cup-2017-grenadiersvictory-against-nicaragua-[3-1].html of this double face-off against Nicaragua, sports fans are wondering what score would allow our Grenadiers to qualify this Tuesday evening in Managua (at the National Stadium in Managua at 7 p.m. local time or 9 p.m. in Haiti), in the decisive return match, for the 14th edition of the 2017 Gold-Cup.

The rules of the competition are very clear on this subject and evoke the different possible scenarios. Thus, the Grenadiers will be the 12th team qualified for the 14th edition of the Gold-Cup IF :

The Grenadiers win again or draw at whatever score;

The Grenadiers lose on a score with one goal difference. Examples: [1-0], [2-1], [3-2], [4-3] etc...;

The Grenadiers lose by two goals difference on a score different of [2-0]. Examples: [4-2], [5-3], [6-4] etc...

The Nicaraguan team will qualify as the 12th qualified team for the 14th edition of the Gold Cup IF :

Nicaragua wins on a score of [2-0];

Nicaragua wins on a score with at least 3 goals difference. Example: [4-1], [5-2], [6-3] etc...

However, if tonight's score is [3-1] in favor of Nicaraguans at the end of the regulation period, which will give a perfect tie of [4-4] over the two-match, there will be an extension of two half-time periods of 15 minutes. If at the end of the 2 half-time the tie is unchanged, we will pass to the penalty shoot-out to decide between the two teams.

Given the seriousness of the Grenadiers in the first leg, if they maintain the same behavior we can reasonably believe that our National Selection will offer Haiti a new qualification for the Gold Cup 2017.
