Thursday, Colombe Émilie Jessy Menos, the Minister of Tourism, Jean Camille Buissereth the General Coordinator of the Foundation for the Development of Alternative Tourism (FONDTAH), Jacqueline Boin, President of the Dominican Science and Arts Foundation and the Founder of this Foundation the former Dominican Ambassador to Haiti, Jose Serulle Ramia, launched the 2nd World Ecotourism and Production Fair to be held in the Dominican city of Jarabacoa from 16 to 26 November 2017 under the theme "Preserving forests and rivers for the biological and cultural diversity of the world".

Respect, understanding, cooperation among the peoples of the world, preserving peace, conserving biodiversity in the world and preserving cultural identity will form the backdrop for the various interventions scheduled at this World fair.

"This Fair will showcase elements of all kinds. It will be a great showcase at the center of a complicated relationship between the two countries sharing the island. We at FONDTAH are in favor of the Haitian-Dominican multi-destination," said Buissereth, who is counting on an impressive Haitian participation, compared with 2014 in the first edition, convinced that this fair will participate in the change of perception about Haiti...

"We are going to double our efforts to seize the opportunity offered by the world ecotourism fair to promote the best attractions of the country," said Minister of Tourism Menos, who explained that a team composed of ministries : of Social Affairs; of the Culture; Finance and the Ministry of Commerce was created to work with the Ministry of Tourism in the preparation of this very important event for Haiti.
