Friday Émilie Jessy Menos, the Minister of Tourism has awarded a plaque of honor to the city of Fort-Liberté (Northeast Department), for its exceptional cleanliness. The Mayor of Fort-Liberté Etienne Louis Jacques accompanied by the young municipal inspector Stanley Pierre, proudly received this well deserved plaque.

"It is an honor for us today to receive this plaque, which is the crowning and reward for the overall work, but above all the will of the Fort Liberté City Council first and from all its citizens secondly," said Mayor Jacques.

Minister Menos applauded the dedication of the Municipal Administration and all citizens of Fort Liberté in maintaining the cleanliness of their city and encouraged other cities to follow this fine example, in order to contribute to the Ministry's struggle to sanitation reminding that "a clean country attracts more tourists."
